Today is White Valentine's or White Day! never heard of it? dun fret cos it's only celebrated in Japan, Taiwan and Korea apparently.. it's in response to Valentine's Day where girls give guys chocolates.. so on White Valentine's the guys are suppose to return the gifts to the girls..
and if u're wondering abt the origins of White Valentine's, there's no 'long ago' story.. it's actually a marketing strategy by Lotte, this Japanese choc maker in 1965, to spread consumerism!! and they've done it so well that it became acknowledged as a festival! according to my fren the sales of their chocs on Valentine's and White Valentine's is half of their annual choc sales...
